Frank R. Voss, MD, graduated magna cum laude from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, with honors in biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, completed a general surgery residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital and his orthopedic surgery residency at Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program, all in Boston. He then completed a fellowship in reconstructive surgery at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Voss joined the University of South Carolina School of Medicine faculty in 1993 and currently serves as a clinical associate professor of orthopedic surgery. He has served as the director of medical education for orthopedic surgery since 1994, and as the department's vice-chair since 1995. His special interests include hip and knee arthroplasty, osteotomies and trauma. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Coding and Reimbursement Committee.
