About our practice
At Palmetto Health-USC Neurosurgery, our neurological surgery team is using the latest medical technology and expert research in treating patients experiencing disorders or injuries of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves.
Led by Roham Moftakhar, MD, Medical Director, Palmetto Health-USC Neurosurgery, our team is thoughtful and passionate about providing the best care possible. Each of our physicians is a member of the faculty at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and in addition to patient care, we provide educational opportunities for surgical residents and medical students.
Our fellowship-trained physicians have extensive, specialized training amongst a variety of subspecialties. These subspecialties include functional neurosurgery, endovascular and cerebral vascular neurosurgery, epilepsy, skull-base surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, spine surgery, neuro oncology, stereotactic radiosurgery and neuro critical care.
