Bishopville, S.C. — Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group will open Palmetto Health-USC Family Medicine of Bishopville this spring. The practice will be led by longtime community physician John Pate, MD.
Dr. Pate will provide patients with the same high-quality health care he has provided for years in a familiar location, 116 Hospital Square, Bishopville, South Carolina. Pate’s transition will not be immediate. Beginning the first week of April, Pate will begin seeing patients at Carolina Family Medicine of Sumter, 115 N. Sumter St., Suite 400, Sumter, South Carolina.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Pate to our organization,” said Bill Anderson, M.D., chief medical officer, Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group. “He’s an excellent physician and we appreciate the care he’s provided to the residents of Bishopville and Lee County over the years. We look forward to partnering with him to provide greater care and greater access to this community.”
