Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group will expand its same-day care options by opening a new Walk-in Clinic Tuesday, May 14, at 9 Richland Medical Park Dr., Suite 300. The clinic will be available Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., with no appointment needed.
The Walk-in Clinic will replace the Mobile Clinic as a permanent location on the Prisma Health Richland Hospital campus for patients to receive care for minor illnesses and injuries such as: allergy symptoms, colds, flu, fever, sore throats, rashes, ear pain, simple infections, minor burns, minor cuts, scrapes, bruises, bug bites/stings, and minor sprains and strains. Preventive services such as screenings and vaccinations also are offered. Patients age 2 and older will be cared for by a nurse practitioner, under the supervision of a physician. The Walk-in Clinic can be reached at 803-434-7650.
“The new Walk-in Clinic will provide patients an additional access to high-quality care," said Kevin Boggs, chief operating officer, Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group. "We want to help our patients get the best possible health care in the setting that is convenient for them."
The Mobile Clinic will be used in the community to bring medical services to patients who do not have easy access to health care.
