W. Strat Stavrou, MD

William Strat Stavrou, MD, FACC, FCCC, is a cardiologist with Palmetto Heart and a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Stavrou received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He also completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at MUSC.

Dr. Stavrou is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, and has held numerous professional leadership positions, including tenures as vice president and president of the South Carolina Heart Association.
