Albert E. Odom, MD

Albert E. Odom, MD, earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his residency at Palmetto Health Richland, where he served as chief resident in 1987. He is board certified with the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His special interests include painful menses, abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids, pelvic organ prolapsed, urinary incontinence, endometriosis, and robotic hysterectomy and robotic myomectomy. He is one of the original members of Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital’s committee for robotic surgery and is one of the most experienced gynecologic robotic surgeons in Columbia. He is a member of the American College of OB/GYN, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and is past president of the Columbia Medical Society. He also volunteers at the Columbia Free Medical Clinic. He has privileges at Palmetto Health Baptist and Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge hospitals and practices at Parkridge OB/GYN.
