Elliott H. Chen, MD, is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group. He joined the faculty of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2008. Prior to his appointment with the Department of Surgery, he was employed as a general plastic surgeon with Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and as an assistant professor at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland.

A graduate of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Dr. Chen earned his doctor of medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his general surgery residency at Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Stony Brook, New York, a plastic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, and a craniofacial surgery fellowship at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine in Philadelphia.
