Frank Aguirre III, MD, is a fellowship-trained gynecologist surgeon specializing in treating pelvic pain and abnormal menstrual bleeding. He received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, completed his residency at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and his gynecology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Aguirre has significant experience with conditions including uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, pain with intercourse, uterine polyps, adnexal masses, painful periods, and heavy or irregular menstrual periods. When surgical intervention is necessary, he has significant experience performing the surgeries in a minimally invasive manner with minimized pain and the most rapid recovery. He is well versed with laparoscopy both with and without the da Vinci robot.
Dr. Aguirre's areas of research interest include improving minimally invasive surgery and optimizing medical management of the above conditions.
