Kim J. Chillag, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group and serves as a clinical associate professor with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, completed an internship at the Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia, and his residency at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Oklahoma Center for Athletes, in Oklahoma City, and in total joint replacement at Joint Implant Surgeons, Inc., in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Chillag is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, is a fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has been honored as the Best Orthopedic Surgeon in the Midlands by Best Doctors. He is a member of the Columbia Medical Journal Club, the Columbia Medical Society, the South Carolina Medical Association, the South Carolina Orthopaedic Association, the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the National Osteonecrosis Foundation.
