Victor A. Hirth, MD, specializes in providing primary care services to patients age 65 and older and currently serves as Medical Director for the Palmetto Health Division of Geriatrics. Dr. Hirth received his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City and a fellowship in gerontology and geriatric medicine at the University of Washington. He is board certified in internal medicine with a certificate of added qualifications in geriatric medicine.
In addition to caring for patients at Senior Primary Care, Dr. Hirth also is the medical director for Lowman Home Long Term Care Facility and Wildewood Downs Retirement Community in Columbia, and education and research are particular passions. He is an assistant professor in the Geriatrics Division at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and the associate program director for The Geriatric Fellowship Program at Palmetto Health Richland.
