Rebecca Evans, MS, CGC, joined Palmetto Health-USC Genetic Counseling in 2017 and currently provides genetic counseling services in cancer genetics at our outreach clinic in Florence, South Carolina. She obtained her master’s degree in genetic counseling in 2008 from the University of South Carolina Genetic Counseling Program.

Rebecca was previously based in Indianapolis, where she helped establish The Community Health Clinic (CHC), a rural genetics clinic. She continues to work part-time for the CHC.

In addition to cancer genetics, Rebecca has an interest in Plain (Amish and Mennonite) genetics. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, baking and playing the piano.
