About our practice
At USC OB/GYN High Risk OB, our physicians are experts for a wide range of high-risk pregnancy care. We are dedicated to helping our patients manage their risks through education, individualized care and a personalized, coordinated health care plan.
Our team is committed to providing exceptional, compassionate care. We work together to provide maternal-fetal medicine services and expertise in monitoring and treating the full-range of complex maternal-fetal conditions. Whether you are referred to our practice or begin your care with us from day one, we will take gentle care of you and your baby.
Our maternal-fetal medicine physicians care for or provide consultation to providers for high-risk pregnancies including, but not limited to, mothers with diabetes, high blood pressure, sickle cell, lupus, and malignancies (cancer). Our physicians manage pregnancies with multiples (twins, triplets, and more) as well as pregnancies with known fetal abnormalities.
Our high-risk pregnancy team receives referrals from obstetric care providers throughout the Midlands for:
- High-risk pregnancy consultation and continuity care
- Chorionic villus sampling (CVS)
- First trimester screening, including nuchal translucency
- Level 3 ultrasound (detailed ultrasound)
- Amniocentesis, if indicated
- Medical intensive in hospital care for high-risk and traumatic fetal and maternal injuries
We are proud to be the premier practice in the Midlands for prenatal diagnosis, offering specialized technology to help parents identify and monitor possible genetic disorders. We also manage the medical services for USC OB/GYN Genetic Counseling, where genetic counselors offer a full-range of testing and consultation to patients including non-invasive prenatal testing.
Advanced ultrasound technology
With advanced 3-D and 4-D ultrasound technology performed by highly trained sonographers, we are able to effectively identify areas of concern when needed and help relieve anxiety about the health of your baby.
Maternal transfer service and trauma care
We are the only practice in the Midlands accepting the transfer of high-risk mothers who need unexpected emergency care, including trauma patients.
