Dottie Atkinson, MS, OTR/L, SIPT, is a pediatric occupational therapist with a master’s degree in rehabilitation/occupational therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and a bachelor’s degree in health science from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. She has been working in outpatient pediatric therapy for over 10 years and specializes in a variety of treatments including upper extremity post-operative cases, torticollis, brachial plexus injuries, sensory processing disorder and fine motor delays. She is the clinic supervisor of the “Little Peds” pediatric rehabilitation clinic, managing the pediatric team to ensure each patient receives the highest quality of care.
Atkinson is certified in Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and is a Certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner (CKTP). She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), South Carolina Occupational Therapy Association (SCOTA) and serves as member-at-large for the South Carolina Hand Therapy Association. A supporter of the Clemson Tigers, Atkinson is a board member of the Women's Alumni Council. Outside of work, she enjoys family vacations at the beach, antique shopping and spending time with her rescue dog.
