Palmetto Health-USC Orthopedic Center Upper Extremity TeamAt Palmetto Health-USC Orthopedic Center, our hand and upper extremity team is committed to utilizing research data for future outcome studies.

With more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, we pride ourselves on being on the front line of advancing medicine. Our team regularly attends national meetings within the specialty to stay up to date on the latest trends and technology.

Dr. Earl McFadden joined a group of orthopedic surgeons to participate in a clinical trial using the most innovative shoulder replacement technique. Dr. John Walsh leads the USC School of Medicine faculty in education and teaching, and the team also is active in teaching the orthopedic resident class and developing physicians of the future.

The Hand and Upper Extremity team strives to provide the utmost health care experience to each and every patient. The evolving institution of medicine allows for expansion and innovation in each specialty area, and we're committed to continuing in research, specialization and expanding resources in order to deliver the best possible patient experience and outcomes.
