Palmetto Health-USC Orthopedic Center – official team physicians for the USC Gamecocks.We're proud to partner with the University of South Carolina and serve as the exclusive official team physicians to all sports teams in the USC Gamecocks athletics program.

Our services

In addition to the University of South Carolina, we serve as official team physicians for the Columbia Fireflies and dozens of other professional, college, high school, middle school and recreational teams throughout South Carolina.

Head and neck:

Hip preservation: A less invasive procedure for pain relief

Convenient Care walk-in orthopedic clinic

We offer a full-service walk-in clinic offering on-site X-Ray, fluoroscopy services, casting, and durable medical equipment fitting. No appointment is necessary and most insurance plans are accepted without a referral. Same-day access is available to patients of all ages.  Learn more »

Athletic Training Program

We supervise one of the largest athletic trainer outreach programs in South Carolina, serving on the sidelines of 34 high schools and seven colleges to prevent, diagnose and treat injuries.  Learn more »

Athletic Training Residency Program

Palmetto Health-USC Orthopedic Center's residency program for certified athletic trainers is designed to help trainers expand their knowledge and diagnosis skills in musculoskeletal evaluation. We aim to further awareness in all aspects of sports medicine in a variety settings and are one of six programs in the country accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).  Learn more »
